Blitz

Our headquarters and main venue is at Blitz (Pilestredet 30, 0166 Oslo). This is where we hold our monthly Suspension Sundays.

Since 1982, Blitz has functioned as self-managed youth house and center for leftist extra-parliamentary activism in Oslo. Blitz is home to a variety of initiatives and activities including Café Blitz (where people can get good, cheap and healthy food at a very low cost, and WoD’s go-to caterers for monthly events and Oslo SusCon), Blitz Infoshop (with political discourse, music, and equipage), RadiOrakel (the world’s oldest female radio station), rehearsal rooms for bands, and rooms for assorted subversive action groups—not to mention the country’s most important stage for punk, hardcore, and other subcultural expressions.

Månefisken

Our second venue, Månefisken, has been our Oslo SusCon home since 2004. Månefisken (The Moon Fish) is located beautifully next to the Akerselva River in Sagveien 23a in the Sagene area of Oslo.

Månefisken was built around 1850 as a textile weaving factory and is now one of Oslo’s most beautiful and flexible event venues. In addition, there are waterfalls in the back and front of the venue—one of which provides us with a gorgeous outside suspension point.
